The key to recovery of deleted files is exactly that. The file must be deleted in order to be recovered. Very often files are kept in spaces such as when one improperly closes a Microsoft Word document. Because the file is neither deleted or saved is almost impossible to find. Deleted files are marked as such and the area of that file is marked as available to be overwritten with new data.
This same set of rules applies when we wish to recover formatted partitions. Formatted data recovery is actually one of the more simple file recovery projects. For when we reformat a computer’s internal hard disk drive or any other digital storage media connected to our computer we are essentially deleting all of the stored files on that device. Our data recovery tool can then recognize the areas marked as deleted and present for recovery all of the original file content. Better quality data recovery tools can even reattach the original file names so that one can quickly determine which of the reformatted files are desired for recovery.
